We’re on the hunt for an experienced Retail Manager to lead our team, showcase our award-winning cheeses, and deliver an unforgettable customer experience.
About the Role
As Retail Manager of The Cheesery, you’ll take the reins of our beautifully presented retail space, right in the heart of Australia’s fashion capital. You’ll lead a passionate team of foodies, drive store performance, maintain high visual standards, and make sure every customer leaves with a smile – and some mozzarella.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations and ensure smooth store performance
Manage, mentor, and roster a small team of retail staff
Maintain merchandising standards and engaging product displays
Drive customer engagement and sales through product knowledge and service
Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and brand presentation standards are upheld
Represent That’s Amore Cheese and The Cheesery with pride
About You
Experience in retail management (premium food, deli, or hospitality background highly regarded)
Strong leadership and communication skills
A genuine passion for artisan cheese and Italian food culture
Exceptional customer service focus
Reliable, hands-on, and organised with attention to detail
Able to work weekends and public holidays as required
