About the role
Our flagship Mitre 10 Retail/Trade store in Tooronga is on the lookout for a Retail Manager to take the reins of our retail (Hardware, Tools, Paint, Décor, and Showroom) departments.
This is a hands-on role reporting to the Store Manager, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to drive sales, uplift team performance, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
You’ll lead the floor team (both full time and casual team members) to ensure the store runs smoothly – from stock flow and promotional execution to store presentation and safety compliance.
This is a full time, 38-hour a week position, working Tuesday to Saturday roster as the current requirement. Flexibility to work other shifts may be needed depending on business needs.
What you will be doing;
Lead and coach teams to deliver excellent customer service and sales results
Oversee merchandising, stock levels, and planogram execution across departments
Drive promotions and performance in our Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry showroom
Review daily sales performance and deliver coaching to maximise results
Ensure the store meets all safety and operational standards
Monitor rosters and team productivity to maintain wage performance within budget
What you will bring;
Previous experience in store or site management, ideally in hardware or home improvement
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A customer-first mindset with an eye for detail and store presentation
Flexibility to work across trading hours, including weekends
