The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to lead the retail operations of our General Store and Petrol Station at Discovery Parks – Wilpena Pound. The successful candidate will have a strong background in retail management, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a small team in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the General Store and Petrol Station
Lead, train, and support a small retail team
Manage inventory levels, ordering, and merchandise presentation
Maintain high standards of customer service and guest experience
Monitor and analyse sales performance and reporting
Maximise profitability through effective financial and cost management
Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Retail Manager or in a similar role
Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Highly developed guest service skills
Experience with inventory management and point-of-sale systems
Ability to work autonomously and perform well under pressure
Strong computer literacy, particularly within the MS Office suite
Excellent people and relationship-building skills
Qualifications
First Aid Certificate
Current Driver’s Licence
Working with Children Check
