Ocean Glow Herbal Limited is a specialty retail business based in Albany, Auckland, offering herbal products, Indian herbs, Ayurvedic products, specialty teas, spices, and organic pantry items.
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead and manage the overall operations and commercial performance of our retail store.
The Role
This is a full-time management position responsible for planning, organising and controlling store operations to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Job Description
The Retail Manager will plan, organise, direct and control the overall operations and commercial performance of the retail store located in Albany, Auckland.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and controlling day-to-day retail operations
Developing and implementing sales targets, pricing policies and promotional strategies
Monitoring financial performance, preparing budgets and analysing sales reports
Controlling operating costs and ensuring profitability objectives are achieved
Recruiting, training, supervising and performance-managing retail staff
Preparing staff rosters and overseeing workforce planning
Managing purchasing, supplier relationships and inventory control
Determining product mix and maintaining appropriate stock levels
Overseeing merchandising standards and store presentation
Maintaining records of stock, sales and financial transactions
Ensuring compliance with health and safety and retail trading regulations
Resolving escalated customer complaints
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
A minimum of 3 years’ relevant retail management experience
Applicants must also demonstrate:
Experience managing retail staff and store operations
Experience in stock control and financial performance management
Ability to analyse sales data and implement business improvement strategies
Knowledge of Indian herbs, Ayurvedic products, specialty teas and natural health products relevant to the business
