Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing unauthorised access, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a professional attitude, keen observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. Duties
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks
Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to oversee all activity within and around the site
Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and reporting suspicious behaviour or thefts
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing assistance as needed
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches
Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information when required
Implement emergency procedures, including first aid assistance if necessary
Ensure all security protocols are followed consistently and report any irregularities to management
Requirements
Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
Valid first aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly in emergency situations
Excellent observational skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong communication skills and professional demeanour
Physical fitness suitable for patrolling large premises and standing for extended periods
Must be reliable with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, or shifts as required
