The Role
As a Retail Security Officer, you’ll be a visible and approachable presence in busy retail environments, focused on loss and asset prevention, and ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for customers.
Your day-to-day might include:
Keeping a watchful eye for suspicious behaviour
Roaming and static patrols
Writing clear, professional incident reports
Collaborating with store teams to maintain a secure, friendly atmosphere
Responding quickly and calmly to incidents
About You
If you're confident and observant this role could be a great fit. To thrive as a Retail Security Officer, you’ll need:
Current QLD Security Licence (Required)
Current First Aid & CPR Certificates (Required)
Police Check (Required)
Impeccable grooming and professional presentation
Strong interpersonal and report-writing skills (Highly desirable)
Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods
A friendly, customer-focused attitude with sharp observational skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and work effectively as part of a team
