**Job Description: Retail Store Manager - Profit Center**
• *Position Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead and manage our large format retail store, which operates as a profit center. This role involves overseeing all aspects of store operations, driving profitability, and managing a large & diverse team across various functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, while maintaining exceptional customer service standards and achieving financial targets.
• *Responsibilities:**
• *1. Profit and Loss Management:**
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize store profitability while achieving budgeted sales and margin targets.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the store's financials, and take ownership of its P&L performance.
• *2. Team Leadership:**
- Manage and lead a team of minimum 35 employees across departments including sales, customer service, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to team members, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
• *3. Operational Excellence:**
- Ensure consistent adherence to SOPs, policies, and guidelines to uphold operational efficiency and provide a seamless customer experience.
- Oversee inventory management, replenishment, and stock levels to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to execute marketing and promotional activities effectively.
• *4. Customer Experience:**
- Drive a customer-centric culture by promoting exceptional customer service standards among the team.
- Address customer feedback and resolve escalated issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
• *5. Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation:**
- Maintain an attractive store layout and product presentation, ensuring that merchandise is displayed in a visually appealing and organized manner.
- Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create engaging displays that enhance the overall shopping experience.
• *6. Reporting and Communication:**
- Generate and present regular reports on sales, expenses, and other relevant KPIs to higher management.
- Foster effective communication between store staff, senior management, and other relevant departments.
• *7. Compliance and Safety:**
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and security measures to create a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Take responsibility for loss prevention and risk management strategies.
• *Requirements:**
- Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager, preferably in a profit center, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using retail software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute operational strategies.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
