We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Injury Management / Return to Work Coordinator to guide employees through injury, recovery, and a safe return to meaningful work, based at our head office in Kunda Park. As our Injury Management / Return to Work Coordinator, you'll lead end-to-end injury management across workers' compensation and non-work-related cases, ensuring a supportive, compliant, and people-focused approach. You will act as the central point of contact for employees, leaders, insurers, and rehabilitation providers, balancing strong stakeholder engagement with legislative compliance and best practice injury management.
Reporting directly to our National HR & Organisation Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming lives championing employee wellbeing while strengthening our workplace culture.
What You'll Do:
The Injury Management / Return-to-Work Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality support across the following key areas:
Case & Injury Management:
Manage a portfolio of Workers Compensation claims and non-work injuries nationally, maintaining confidential, accurate records.
Liaise with insurers, claims partners and key stakeholders.
Collect and manage case & injury management data accurately, ensuring information is used effectively to support safety outcomes and broader business performance.
Return to Work Coordination:
Manage end-to-end return to work support, creating tailored plans that help employees recover and return with confidence.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals including treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, and WorkSafe Agents to create tailored return-to-work plans.
Legislative Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliant, high-quality case management while proactively identifying risks and improving injury management practices.
Help Strengthen Ambrose Construct Group’s safety culture by promoting early reporting, delivering training, and assisting the national Safety team with psychosocial risk initiatives, and strategic improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
Partner with leaders, employees, and providers to deliver coordinated, supportive, and effective return to work outcomes.
Resolve challenges proactively by addressing return-to-work disputes and ensuring smooth transitions back to the workplace.
Ensure compliance excellence by managing workers compensation claims, weekly compensation reconciliation, and adherence to all statutory requirements.
Travel when needed to support our teams across various locations.
Capability Building & Culture:
Champion a proactive return to work culture through early intervention, education, and wellbeing-focused initiatives.
Build inclusive, productive working relationships, collaborating effectively while role‑modelling behaviour that avoids stereotypes, bias and prejudice.
About you:
You are an experienced Return to Work, Injury Management or Workers Compensation professional who is comfortable operating in fast‑paced environments and managing competing priorities. Exposure to complex or high‑risk industry claims is highly beneficial.
Essential: RTW qualification from an RTO + minimum 1-year hands-on Return-to-Work experience.
Genuine passion for employee wellbeing and injury management.
Communication excellence with the ability to connect with people at all levels.
Tech-savvy with advanced skills in mobile devices, repair management systems, and Microsoft Office.
Current driver's license and willingness to travel.
WHS knowledge including relevant Acts, Regulations, and Australian Standards.
