Salary: $85,000.00 – 93,000.00 base + 11.5% Super +NFP Salary Packaging

Location: Based in our beautiful new office in Parramatta

Work Type: 12 month Maximum Term Contract (hybrid: 3 days in office and 2 WFH days)


An exciting chance to utilise revenue accounting skills, debt collection &NDIS claiming knowledge in the disability sector & create a positive impact.


What you will do

In this role, you will assist with Afford’s debt collection, revenue, claiming, income recognition activities This role reports directly to the Senior Revenue Accountant.

Manage debt collection process by managing outstanding balances and ensure timely collection.

Submit NDIA claims promptly and share results with stakeholders.

Assist with identifying claim errors and work with Team Leaders to submit accurate data.

Issue invoices to participants and plan managers.

Support the Senior Revenue Accountant in developing automated processes.

Ensure accurate monthly revenue recognition.

Find and address any discrepancies.

Ensure debts are collected promptly.

Assist the Senior Revenue Accountant with timely completion of funding acquittals.

What you will bring

To excel in this role, you will bring a passion for innovative and impactful revenue accounting practices, along with experience in financial reporting, debt collection and revenue recognition, strong communication skills, the ability to analyse market trends, and a collaborative mindset. Additionally, we are looking for someone with:

Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, or Commerce.

Recent roles in Revenue, Claims Officer, Accounts Receivable, or Debt Collection, preferably in the Not-for-Profit sector, especially with disability services and NDIS funding.

Experience with NDIS claiming, including invoicing for NDIA Managed, Plan Managed, and Self-Managed clients.

Ability to handle pressure, manage multiple tasks, and initiate process improvements. Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.

Recent experience providing high levels of service to both internal and external customers.

Familiarity with financial accounting principles.

Currently studying or planning to pursue CA, CPA, or another postgraduate qualification.

Willingness to complete a National Criminal History Check and have an up-to-date COVID vaccination certificate or medical exemption.

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.

Current ‘C’ class driver’s license.
