3-5 years of hands-on Hotel Revenue Management experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
A proven track record of strong results improving RevPAR index and market share
Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
A strong command of both written and spoken English is required
Desire to expand duties over time to cover hotel asset management reporting and investment modeling
Strong command of Excel
Knowledgeable on hotel technology platforms: PMS, Channel Manager, GDS, CRS, Extranets
Experience working with: Opera, Sabre/SynXis, Duetto, OneYield, GRO, IDEAS, STR, Agency 360, Lighthouse
Authorization to work in the United States
Responsibilities
This is a rare opportunity for the right, highly motivated and talented candidate to join on the ground floor of a growing hotel asset management consulting firm
The Analyst will focus primarily on identifying, monitoring and implementing revenue management strategies and processes for our client hotels to maximize revenues and profitability
Participate on weekly revenue strategy calls for each hotel (or portfolio)
Participate on recurring weekly or monthly property operations update calls
Monitor revenue management and distribution strategy and day to day yield operations, daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting
Review booking pace, STR reports, market segmentation and revenue management strategy to ensure top-line goals are met
Conduct weekly rate shops on 3rd party sites, monitor and report on each hotel’s search result placement, weekly reporting on Lighthouse data
Analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies and develop strategic and tactical action
Monitor and present recommendations for pricing strategies for each hotel
Perform competitive bench-marking and follow market trends
Responsible for best practice standards including the following: competitor analysis; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts
Maintain a 13-month rolling demand calendar in conjunction with hotel management company
Monitor and report on strategy for all third-party distribution
Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, groups, etc.)
Reduce the cost of distribution by finding less expensive means of delivering business
Prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process
Research competitive properties and real estate markets and provide benchmark analysis based on market conditions
Monitor and report weekly on both negative and positive guest review trends and identify opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and online reputation
Participate in training to expand role to include hotel asset management oversight, reporting and analysis over the long term
