We provide reimbursed tuition training to all our Carpenter Apprentices, who will learn a wide range of carpentry skills including Framing, Deck construcion, installing windows and doors, Erecting and dismantling concrete formwork. You'll also learn how to operate and use tools necessary for carpentry, such as drills, saws, screwdrivers, hammers and nail guns. You'll be trained by skilled and experienced carpenters with extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, who will teach you how to use tools and materials effectively.
Responsibilities
Assist skilled carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Help with construction estimating by measuring and calculating material needs.
Participate in various tasks including framing and concrete forming.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
A strong interest in carpentry and construction with a willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge or experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, concrete forming, framing is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks including lifting heavy materials.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Must be able to adhere to safety regulations on job sites.
