• *Introduction**:

The hiring team are responsible for building the strategic R&A Wholesale Credit Risk platform used for internal risk management and regulatory reporting across Barclays International. The team is focusing on a commitment within Project Eagle to submit credit PD and LGD models to the regulator in Q4 17 and Q1 18.

• *What will you be doing?**

- Agile development using Angular, Node, Node Package Manager (NPM),.NET, C#, and SQL Server.

- Delivering solutions within a DevOps environment with a focus on automation of testing and deployment via standardised framework.

- Experience in TDD will be advantageous.

- Working closely with global development team members in other regions, participating in and contributing to technical discussions.

- Communicate effectively with the local development manager and team.

- Responding promptly to requests from the RTB support team in order to resolve user queries and handle technical issues that are out of scope for the support staff.

- Making technical updates to reduce the manual support overhead for the system.

- Working with BAs and Team Leads to understand the functional scope of project work, questioning decisions and collaborating with end-users to ensure that business needs are met on a timely basis.

- Drafting initial design proposals for reviews by team leads and architects, and contributing to detailed technical specifications where appropriate.

- Liaising with the Design authority and IT teams in other regions to ensure that all new components fit within guiding principles.

- Following good processes and practices, as defined by the team standards; ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off.

- Implement and test technical solutions from specifications to both new and existing systems.

- Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards

- Involvement in peer reviews with more senior team members in order to provide constructive feedback

- Creating and maintaining unit tests with an aim for 80% code coverage

- Liaising with a test team to provide support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases

- Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during SIT, QA and UAT test phases

- Supporting regression testing.

- Following established process and practices with regards to source code management and audit controls.

- Writing release plans and coordinating release walkthroughs with the environment managers and RTB teams

- Acting as a point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving issues found in production following minor releases

- Providing on-call support for minor releases

• *What we’re looking for**:

- Ability to work independently and proactively.

- Ability to build productive working relationships with other IT groups, business users and support teams.

- Strong ability to analyze data; attention to detail and good quantitative ability.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a good command over English and ability to explain complex technical and functional topics in simple terms over the phone.
