What will you be doing?
• Provide best-in-class analytics
• Provide insight and recommendations to key stakeholder in order to support in the creation of risk strategies to contain the cost of risk and achieve P&L/impairment targets.
• Assist with collation of information and analysis to support key Risk projects as and when required ensuring accurate and timely output
• Should be able to collaborate with colleagues across teams to ascertain if the process, procedures and documentation align to the policy requirements
• Ensure strategy and model documentation and governance remains up-to date and work with the internal validation unit to ensure models are well governed.
• Extend/ modify analysis based on observations/ knowledge of data and limitations, and implications of results
• Present and communicate results to Senior Management and drive stakeholder discussions through rigorous analysis and sound logical frameworks
What We’re Looking For
• Practical experience of using analytics to solve complex business problems
• Passionate about data analysis and how this contributes to the business
• Comprehensive knowledge and effective use of analytical tools, specifically including SAS/SQL.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Good written and verbal skills, a strong governance and challenging mentality with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to generate insights from data, assess the commercial / financial impact and recommend action
• Understanding of statistical methods to enable appropriate interpretation of results
Skills That Will Help You In The Role
• Degree in Business, Finance, Maths, Sciences, Engineering or Economics or substantial directly related experience.
• Background in Credit Risk/ Industry knowledge (ideally experience with major international financial services firm)
• Extensive experience analysing programmes through the lens of Cards P&L and customer metrics.
• Confident, clear and articulate, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
