Senior Risk & Compliance Solicitor (5+ PQE)
£100,000 - £120,000
London
A fantastic international London firm, recognised as top tier Legal 500 in several practice areas and Legal 50 by revenue in the UK, is looking to grow their in-house team with and enthusiastic senior risk professional. This is an opportunity to work with the London based “Head of Risk and Compliance” and the larger Risk and Compliance that functions on an international basis across 3 different continents. Typical matters include SRA Code, professional standards, ethics, conflicts, financial crime, supplier contracts, and confidentiality queries. Responsibilities:
• Manage a wide variety of regulatory, risk, and compliance matters alongside the Partner (HoD) and COLP.
• Identify and resolve potential conflicts of interest, confidentiality issues, and regulatory changes.
• Draft policies and regularly update the Professional Standards Manual and Partners' Guide.
• Assist with the training, development, and supervision of junior members of staff.
• Ad hoc duties as may be required.
Skills and Experience
• UK qualified Solicitor with 5-10 PQE of experience in the risk team of a reputable firm (international experience preferred, other levels will be considered).
• Strong experience with confidentiality, ethics, and financial crime matters are essential.
• -Up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of law, procedure, and the SRA Handbook.
• Strong interpersonal skills interacting with colleagues.
• A passionate personality with an enthusiasm for personal and team development.
