The Risk & Regulatory team advises clients on complex risk and compliance management initiatives and in doing so, helps clients achieve their objectives and ensure applicable regulatory requirements are met. Client engagements include risk and compliance management framework uplifts and system implementation, regulatory reviews, data strategy and governance, financial risk management, control transformation and operating model enhancements. We assist organisations in the banking, insurance, superannuation, fintech, retail, government, oil, gas, utilities, mining and industrials sectors to understand and model uncertainty, learn from data, and optimise and automate business decisions. We are a global company and you will be working with, and learning from, peers from around the world.
What will your typical day look like?
Each day is different in the R&R Advisory team, and no two client’s face the same challenges. On a typical project, you start off by engaging with clients to understand and contextualise their challenges, opportunities, and identify how Deloitte can best help them. You and your colleagues dive into their business and provide valuable insights on how to efficiently manage their regulatory, compliance and financial risks. This extends to matters such as advising clients on business strategies, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) integration or sustainability reporting. At Deloitte, you have all the support you need from your colleagues and broader team including access to a global network of risk and regulatory management professionals.
You will:
Support transformational engagements with a wide variety of clients across a broad range of industry sectors.
Use structured problem solving to resolve complex risk & regulatory challenges.
Build your understanding of our clients’ industries and the different challenges that exist in a fast moving regulatory and competitive environment.
Develop your analytical skills, while understanding the technology that supports our solutions.
Work collaboratively in driven teams to provide clients with best advice.

Advisory: Our Advisory team works closely with clients to advise, implement, and deliver solutions that address complex regulatory and financial risks. We bring together risk, process, and control transformation to embed and improve our clients operating models, underpinned by data analytics. This provides our clients with comfort that risks are appropriately mitigated, streamlines their operating model, and drives intelligent decision making through the use of data.
Data: Our R&R Data team supports our clients from development of their data strategy and governance framework through to implementation of operational analytics solutions. The team combines practitioners with advanced analytic skills to support clients to navigate the complex regulatory landscape and identify innovative opportunities to achieve great outcomes for businesses and their employees. Currently, we are focusing on regulatory compliance, reducing operational risk, data lifecycle management, and controls transformation within a wide range of industries!

The Risk & Regulatory team advises clients on complex risk and compliance management initiatives and in doing so, helps clients achieve their objectives and ensure applicable regulatory requirements are met. Client engagements include risk and compliance management framework uplifts and system implementation, regulatory reviews, data strategy and governance, financial risk management, control transformation and operating model enhancements.
