Role Description:
This role is responsible for providing specialist analysis and Risk management oversight of a specific risk type .They investigate risk limit threshold / breaches / near misses and prepare regular reviews of the exposure. Risk Specialists identify relevant risk mitigation actions in particular when exposures are in excess of limits or appetite and provide independent challenge to the Business / escalate where appropriate. They will make decisions and approvals based on their allocated authority level

Overview
The Market Risk Analysis and Control (MRAC) function is responsible for the provision of all official market risk metrics and core analysis in support of risk management decision making, on behalf of the MVRM department. The team in India therefore operates globally with global responsibilities and ownership.
This role will be part of core leadership group with particular focus on the following teams in Pune, Data Governance, Limits Management and Strategic Initiatives.
The responsibility will include leading and implementing the control and governance processes around all Limits created in Market Risk Department, improving data quality within the firm by assisting the team in implementing a global, data-led strategy and governance process around it and leading strategic initiatives within MRAC

Your Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility will include:
• Ownership of the data governance framework used to monitor production processes across all market risk metrics.
• Ensuring Compliance with BCBS- framework
• Data Quality management - identifying, reporting, analyzing and resolving issues impacting the timeliness, accuracy or completeness of risk measures using the Department's and Bank's framework for Data//Issue management by collaborating across teams and stakeholders.
• Responsibility for the execution of the bank's market risk limit framework, this includes reviewing and identifying areas of improvement in the framework and providing independent challenge to the Business / escalate where appropriate.
• Lead the Strategic Initiatives team responsible for delivering changes towards automation and process improvements. Additionally, be responsible for delivery of key initiatives within the department/bank.
How You'll Lead
• Will require regular interaction with various senior business stakeholders including MRMs, front office, business finance, Analytic teams, regulators, auditors and others
• Leading discussions in various governance forums related to data quality, process optimization and KPI reviews
• Be the subject matter expert for Limits framework and the Operational & Control processes
• Support infrastructure improvement in collaboration with IT support and change teams
Your Skills and Experience:
• Post-grad degree in Finance/Risk
• 15+ years of experience with minimum of10+ years of experience in leadership role
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent Analytical skills. Ability to analyze and manage large volumes of data in MS excel
