Key Responsibilities:
• Provide skilled nursing care for assigned patients in the Emergency Room, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to best practices.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of diverse nursing staff levels, maintaining seamless communication and teamwork.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to promote optimal patient care.
• Apply critical thinking and independent judgment in rapidly-changing clinical situations.
• Direct education and non-productive hours for Float Pool nurses, maintaining compliance with departmental procedures.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping practicesFloat Pool nurses must clock in to the unit currently being worked.
• Uphold patient safety protocols, infection control standards, and ethical nursing practice at all times.
Qualifications:
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least one year of recent experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (preferred).
