We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Emergency Department Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our emergency care unit. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a commitment to high-quality patient care, and extensive experience in emergency care. This role requires managing both inpatient and outpatient care settings, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a positive work environment for the nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise the daily operations of the emergency department to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and department efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards while maintaining a high level of quality care.
• Mentor and guide nursing staff, fostering a positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care across the hospital.
• Monitor patient care to ensure it meets established standards and intervene when necessary to address any concerns.
• Oversee department budgets, resources, and supplies, ensuring the department operates within financial guidelines.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and support to promote the professional development of nursing staff.
• Address patient and family concerns, ensuring they are resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff to maintain a high-performing team.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care, safety, and department performance.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Healthcare Information Systems.
• Proven experience managing both inpatient and outpatient care settings, with a focus on emergency care.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations in an emergency care environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
