Job Description
A Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) plays a vital role in supporting patients’ recovery and improving their quality of life through restorative care programs. Working under the direction of licensed nurses or therapists, the RNA helps patients regain or maintain their mobility, strength, and independence in daily activities.
Responsibilities:
• Patient Care:
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and self-care activities as prescribed by the care plan.
• Encourage and motivate patients to participate in restorative programs.
• Monitor patients’ progress and report changes to supervising staff.
• Restorative Techniques:
• Perform range-of-motion (ROM) exercises.
• Support patients with ambulation (walking) and transfer techniques using assistive devices as needed (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs).
• Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, dressing, and grooming.
• Documentation:
• Record patient participation and progress in restorative programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports for the nursing team.
• Communication:
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to ensure individualized care.
• Educate patients and families on maintaining independence and mobility.
• Safety and Equipment Maintenance:
• Ensure the safe use of assistive devices and equipment.
• Report any malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Certification: Must hold a valid CNA license in the state of employment. Additional restorative care training or certification preferred.
• Experience: Prior experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or restorative nursing programs is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
