Job Description

Robotics & Coding Teacher
Start Date: September 2026

Renert School, located in Royal Oak NW Calgary, is one of Calgary's leading private schools, recognized for academic excellence and a commitment to educational innovation. We employ only exceptional educators—individuals who are deeply invested in student development and passionate about transformative teaching.

We are seeking a highly qualified Robotics & Coding Instructor to lead and further develop our competitive robotics program (FLL and FTC), and ideally to also teach coding in Python and Java. This role involves coaching student robotics teams, mentoring in mechanical design and strategy, and guiding students through coding challenges and competition preparation.

This position may be part-time or full-time, depending on your range of skills and the classes that you teach. Classes and team practices are held at the school from from September to June, and include after-school hours for open practice (typically 4:00–6:00 p.m.). Class sizes are small, and the students are enthusiastic and highly motivated.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled FLL/FTC and computing mentor who wishes to work in an innovative and student-centered environment.

Extensive experience with FIRST LEGO League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC).
Proficiency in mechanical design, construction, and programming for robotics competitions.
