Roku Developer role
Experience- 6+ years
Work mode- Remote
Contract- 1 year
JD:
• 6+ years of overall experience in Software Development and 1+ year in Roku application
development
• Good experience in Smart TV applications
• Good understanding of OTT domain
• End to end solutioning and integration, Player KPIs, QOS parameters
• At least one FE framework/Library like: React/Angular or others.
• Idea of Unit-testing for code robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general
• Developing the Roku Application using Roku SDK, Bright script.
• Responsible for publishing the apps to the Roku channel store.
• Performing Integration with Analytics using third party services, APM tools
• Should have deep expertise and knowledge of doing Web Service integration with Roku
Apps using REST/JSON/XML formats.
• Good to have knowledge of Media Domains like VOD, Live/Linear, OTTV related
Applications Good written, communication knowledge
• Should be well aware of MPEG DASH, HTTP Live Streaming protocol, PlayReady/
Widevine DRM scheme and ROPlayer functionalities.
• Experience with native renderable nodes such as RowList, ZoomList, MarkupGrid etc.
• Good to have experience in publishing app on Roku app store and store guidelines
