Responsibilities
• Support roofers by carrying materials, tools, and equipment to ensure smooth workflow on-site
• Assist with the installation of roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and membranes
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure roofing components
• Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, safety barriers, and staging areas
• Help with site cleanup, debris removal, and organization of materials throughout the project
• Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements and specifications
Skills
• Experience with construction site work and familiarity with roofing processes
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and caulking guns
• Ability to operate power tools safely including drills, saws, and nail guns
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution
• Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights on scaffolding or ladders
• Basic understanding of construction estimating and project timelines
• Hands-on experience with related trades like carpentry, masonry, or remodeling is a plus
• Strong attention to detail in following technical drawings and safety guidelines
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
