Overview
We are seeking experienced roofers and hardworking individuals who are NEW to the trade but ready to learn and grow. candidate will have experience working on roofing projects, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights and handling physically demanding tasks in diverse weather conditions. Prior experience with construction and carpentry is highly valued, along with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
Install new roofing
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure durability and weather resistance
Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and blueprint reading skills
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support installation processes
Apply caulking and sealants to ensure watertight seals around flashings, vents, and other roof penetrations
Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and other construction tools efficiently
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents when working at heights or on unstable surfaces
Assist with general carpentry tasks related to roofing projects as needed
Read blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Skills
Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in roofing and construction work
Strong background in construction with experience in carpentry preferred
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and penetrations
Physical strength for heavy lifting and sustained physical activity throughout the workday
Handyman experience is a plus for versatile problem-solving on-site
Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
Ability to work safely at heights and in various weather conditions
Good communication skills for teamwork and understanding project requirements
