We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofing Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of roofing and construction-related tasks on residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working on construction sites, proficiency with hand and power tools, and a strong understanding of roofing systems. Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems on residential and commercial properties
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as caulking guns, welding tools, and masonry equipment
Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, or framing components
Conduct demolition, restoration, or remodeling work as needed on roofing structures
Measure surfaces accurately for material cutting and installation using blueprint reading skills
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Maintain a clean and organized work site throughout the project lifecycle
Skills
Construction estimating experience is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading is essential
Knowledge of roofing systems along with related skills such as caulking, trim carpentry, masonry, plumbing, welding, and tile laying enhances versatility
Ability to read blueprints accurately to guide installation or repair projects
Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and procedures
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to various project requirements
