We are currently recruiting for a Room Attendant to join one of our Conference Centres in Central Birmingham B4.
Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.
The Conference Centre also has a hotel as part of their builiding which caters for conference guests and guests using the hotel but not the conferencing facilities. The housekeeping team look after both the hotel and the conferencing facilities.
We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable employee to join our friendly and hardworking team. We can offer good training and prospects within our team for the right candidate.
The Ideal Candidate Will
• Have experience in housekeeping or similar cleaning environment
• Have a clear understanding of various cleaning products, their purposes and all Health and Safety issues associated with them (COSHH)
• Have the ability to work quickly and under pressure
• Ensure high quality cleaning service at public areas of hotel
• Service guest bedrooms by order of floor/section to the required standard
• Restock/replace items in rooms and bathrooms for guest use that have need replacement
• Make bed professionally following standard procedure
• Service bathrooms by washing and emptying bins; wash all glass surfaces and floors; clean shower, bath, basin, bidet, and toilet to the best quality standard
• Using the right cleaning chemicals, dust and polish all hard surfaces to achieve a quality sheen
• Vacuum bathrooms, bedrooms floors, corridors, stairs, and lifts to remove all debris; check the vacuum cleaner regularly and if necessary change the dust bag
• Ensure service area is well stocked with necessary products and cleaned always
• Report issues such as equipment and light bulb damage promptly to supervisor or department manager for immediate action
• May perform regular deep cleaning of all areas of hotel as instructed
• Have good customer service skills

There are a number of vacancies available for the role. This is a zero hours contract. Shift patterns are either +.00am to 3.00pm and 5.00pm to +.00pm. This may include weekends.
