Position Summary:
Tacten is seeking an experienced IRATA Level 3 Mechanical General Foreman to support our client site, CNRL Albian, in Fort McMurray, AB. In this critical role, you will be a key member of our team responsible for executing high-altitude tasks with precision, efficiency, and safety. Leveraging your advanced skills and expertise in rope access techniques and mechnical expertise, you will play a crucial role in overseeing complex operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Position Information:
Start Date: May 27, 2025
14/14 rotation, 80hrs./week
FIFO provided to all major local city hubs
Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day operations of Technicians, Industrial Trades, Inspectors, and Engineers.
Ensure compliance with IRATA standards, safety procedures, and project specifications
Respond on a daily basis to inquiries made by Client.
Provide technical guidance, direction, mentoring, training, and skills development to technicians reporting to you.
Review and approve time sheets and Field Level Risk Assessments, correct deficiencies and provide feedback to technicians.
Assist in the investigation and documentation of near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances.
Participate in Internal and Client-led procedural and process safety and quality audits.
If required, provide services in situations where no other persons are available to perform the work.
Requirements:
Must hold a valid IRATA Level 3 Certificate
Minimum 5 years of rope access experience
Minimum of 5 years Industrial experience
Minimum of 2 years supervisory or leadership experience
Journeyman trade certification preferred (Pipefitter or Welder)
Technical report writing skills
Strong computer skills with proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
Familiar with computer softwares including Maximo, Tableau and Pangea (or willing to learn)
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
Ability to multi-task, and perform in fast paced and under pressure environments.
