Cessnock City Council is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented administration superstar to become a vital member of our Safety and Risk team!
The Safety and Risk Support Officer will actively support the team's strategic safety and risk management deliverables and will contribute in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, as a main focus is ensuring the integrity of the WHS Management System through accurate record keeping and document control. Outside of maintaining documents and procedures, this position will also assist with safety and risk inspections, hazard identification and investigations and have the chance to assist in the development and implementation of exciting health and wellbeing initiatives in the organisation.

Remuneration:
$68,740 - $79,594 per annum plus superannuation

About you:
To be successful in this position you will ideally have tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Business, Commerce or a related discipline, and will lean on your experience in a high-level administration support role within WHS. Your high attention to detail and strong experience in using computer-based programs will ensure your success in this role.
You will also hold a current class C drivers licence and Work Health and Safety General Construction Induction (White Card).
