THE ROLE
Are you passionate about fostering safe and healthy environments in community recreation and children’s services? Do you have an interest in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)?
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team.
As the Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing safety systems, incident reporting, and formalising procedures to support our staff and ensure a safe environment for all. You’ll act as the first responder to both major and minor incidents, working within a supportive team environment. Full training will be provided for our incident management systems and safety protocols.
You will also have opportunities to grow, contributing to various projects and WHS compliance initiatives. With almost 70 sites across South Australia, you’ll gain diverse experiences while helping to foster a culture of safety throughout YMCA South Australia. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about helping others and eager to make a positive impact on the community.
This is a full-time role, predominantly located in Head Office – Adelaide CBD.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419)
While any relevant qualifications or experience are beneficial, we can train the right candidate who brings a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
