Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.
Position Summary:
Experienced Safety Specialist needed for opportunities located in the Lansing, MI area.
Work as a Safety Specialist Lead on projects reporting to the project manager and/or construction site lead. Positions are focused on the construction aspect of HSE in manufacturing facilities.
Duration of assignment could range from 8 weeks to 6 months or longer.
Responsibilities:
Lead a culture of safety at site.
Review and approve safety plans and execution for any contractors that are at the work site.
Receive and review all safety plans for all subcontractors at work site, audit plans to ensure that the prime contractor has reviewed and approved per client requirements.
Audit the jobsite daily against the approved safety plans.
Perform daily audits, HSE safety plans per client requirements.
Attend all project safety meetings, Lead meetings as directed or delegated.
Conduct daily tailgate meetings as required.
Audit permits and pre task analysis.
Notify client and/or Site manager immediately of any incidents. Perform safety investigations.
Qualifications:
Certified Safety Professional is preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years as a Safety Specialist specifically in a Construction environment.
Ability to perform field walk downs, verify equipment in field if needed, etc
