About the Role

The Sales and Events Manager supports the Event Sales Manager in overseeing confirmed events, ensuring smooth transitions to the Event Operations team, and delivering exceptional client experiences at State Buildings & COMO The Treasury.

This role serves as the main contact for weddings and special events, managing everything from enquiry to handover. Key responsibilities include responding to enquiries within 24 hours, offering personalised service, and coordinating with Event Operations to ensure accurate execution of confirmed events.

Additional tasks include organising final detail meetings for weddings, introducing couples to the Venue Manager, managing event logistics, documentation, and administrative tasks. Industry trends are monitored to stay competitive, and pricing adjustments are assisted with as necessary. Wedding open days are organised, and participation in external expos is facilitated for property exposure.

Collaboration with vendors ensures smooth event setup and breakdown. Event management platforms (iVvy, SevenRooms) are maintained, and booking details are updated. Detailed Event Orders are prepared for Event Operations and Venue Managers. Pre-event meetings with clients are conducted to finalise details, and strong relationships with clients are built to gather feedback post-event.

Maintaining thorough knowledge of hotel food and beverage offerings and service standards is essential. Confidentiality is ensured, and other duties are performed as assigned. A courteous and professional service is provided to clients, fostering strong relationships with guests and team members.
