Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team in the jewellery industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with sales, and maintaining the visual presentation of the store. A keen eye for detail, a love for luxury, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and professionally.
Assist customers in selecting jewellery that suits their needs and preferences.
Provide expert knowledge on products, materials, and care instructions.
Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
Sales:
Meet and exceed personal and store sales targets.
Upsell and cross-sell jewellery and accessories to maximise sales.
Process transactions accurately using POS systems.
Store Presentation:
Ensure the store is always clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
Assist in setting up displays and ensuring all products are properly priced and labelled.
Monitor inventory and assist with stock control and replenishment.
Product Knowledge:
Stay up to date with new collections, product launches, and industry trends.
Educate customers on the history, craftsmanship, and value of products.
Security & Compliance:
Follow all security procedures to prevent theft and loss.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.
Requirements:
Previous retail or sales experience, ideally in luxury goods or jewellery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of personal presentation and professionalism.
Strong attention to detail and product knowledge.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Confidence in handling high-value transactions and customers.
Passion for jewellery, fashion, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Desirable:
Certification or training in gemology or jewellery (not essential).
Multilingual skills are an advantage, especially in high-tourism areas.
