Fostering Debate Talent Academy is Canada's leading Debate & Speech coaching provider, offering in-person and virtual lessons to students in K-12. The company is dedicated to empowering youth to find their voice. No prior experience is required to join our team.
Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid (on-site and remote) role for a Sales Development Representative at Fostering Debate Talent Academy in Vancouver, BC. The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for business-to-consumer sales: lead generation, communication, sales activities, and business development. This will be a commission based position.
Key Duties:
Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and promote FDT Academy's programs.
Generate leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, and outreach.
Maintain regular follow-up with leads and clients to build strong relationships.
Meet or exceed sales targets and goals.
Educate families about the benefits of debate and public speaking for their children.
Collaborate with the team to refine sales strategies and approaches.
Qualifications
Canadian citizen, or eligible to work in Canada.
Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
Excellent computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
Inside Sales, Sales, and Business Development skills
Lead Generation and Communication skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
Previous experience in sales and lead generation
Knowledge of public speaking or debate is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional Value:
Proficiency in Mandarin an asset.
Experience with WeChat an asset.
