Primary Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide Estimating services for Burbank SA projects, and work closely with Drafting, Edge and Construction to ensure a seamless transition through the business of project build documentation and pricing.
Project Pricing
Preparation of tender pricing, including the sourcing of quotes and liaison with suppliers and Burbank’s procurement team.
Coordination of production budgets, in line with tenders.
Managing of variation pricing.
Accuracy in file checks in line with plans and selections.
Attendance in internal project meetings to cross check pricing and plans prior to submission.
Construction Support
Managing pricing and order queries from the Site team.
Timely liaison with suppliers and procurement in response to construction queries.
Edge Studio Support
Provision of pricing support for Interior Design team in pricing selections for projects.
Retail Support
Ongoing support for retail estimators including but not limited to:
New home tenders
Pricing support for the sales team and Edge team.
As displayed pricing to be prepared for Display home openings in support of the Sales team, including options and upgrades.
Compliance & National Support
Adopt a Burbank supplier first approach to projects, working closely with our established network of national suppliers.
Adherence to and support for the Burbank Variation Policy and Pricing Schedule.
Contribution to continual improvement of national systems and processes relating to Sales Estimating.
Contribution to product and material reviews as required.
Contribution to improvement of tender based language, items and disclaimers.
Liaison with interstate counterparts for consistency and continual improvement.
Typical qualifications and/or Experience
A minimum of two years’ experience in the Building industry with a good construction background.
Experience tendering on projects preferred but not essential.
Experience with sales and production estimating.
Analytical & logical.
Ability to ready & understand drawings & engineering.
Good knowledge of building terminology.
Able to concentrate for long periods.
Good verbal & written communication skills.
Accurate with figure work.
Ability to work well as part of a productive team.
