About the Role

As a Sales Executive, you will drive sustainable growth across cards, fuels, and lubricants by securing new business, strengthening SME client relationships, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will be accountable for developing new and existing customer pipelines, qualifying inbound and outbound leads, and ensuring every interaction reflects a customer-first approach, while maintaining profitability, compliance, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through inbound and outbound interactions, driving account growth and loyalty.

Identify and convert sales opportunities by qualifying leads, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts.

Proactively generate new business, develop pipelines, calls, emails, and virtual meetings.

Deliver service excellence by providing tailored solutions and resolving customer issues with ownership and empathy.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, risk assessment, and customer support.

Maintain expert knowledge of Ampol’s products, pricing, systems, and policies to optimise customer outcomes.

Track, report, and continuously improve sales performance while ensuring compliance and quality standards.

Contribute to a positive team culture by sharing best practices, engaging in feedback, and supporting capability uplift.

About you

You are passionate about driving sales growth, with a proven track record in winning new business as well as maintaining and developing customer accounts. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you excel at building rapport, fostering trust, and influencing outcomes. With a strong customer service mindset, a clear understanding of what creates customer value, and exceptional communication skills, you will be well positioned to succeed in this role.

Key Skills and Experience

Proven experience in customer facing roles, inside sales or account management

Experience in Insurance, Health care and/or Banking in a outbound sales call role would be ideal

Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)

Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)

Strong customer and commercial acumen

Results driven with a passion for customers

High attention to detail

Our total remuneration is competitive. This is across base salary, car allowance, a company performance incentive, employee share offers and a 25% discount on Fuel for two privately used cars!
