You will be working as Sales Manager - Cluster East and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics Division based out at Kolkata, India. In this role you will be reporting to Local Division Manager. You will be primarily responsible for planning and ensuring execution of a local division sales strategy for assigned area, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services in a profitable way. Also responsible for leading and developing and coaching the sales organization proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
Your responsibilities
• Creating, planning and implementing sales strategy and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy. Achieving sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency
• Establishing sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
• Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaching, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Driving and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
• Identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical area and determines plans for acquisition and allocates resources
• Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts and evaluating data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitoring and providing reports to the marketing and sales organization on market intelligence
• Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers. Building and maintains strong relationships with key decision makers. Ensuring efficient marketing communications
• Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales. Participating on negotiations of key contracts & managing ongoing costs
• Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels. Taking ownership of the sales process and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs
Your background
• Bachelor's engineering in Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation specialization
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in leading a significant sales & service terms
• Experience of independently handling cluster sales, territories and delivering sales growth and profitability
• Experience of selling Gas analyzers, Gas Chromatographs, Analyzer systems and other analytical products is preferable. Process and application knowledge of measurement products will be an added advantage. Specially for Hydrocarbon, Power, Paper, Metals & Minerals domain
• Experience of handling project pursuits, Vendor listing and new customer development. Knowledge of selling of Instrumentation & Analytical products/Systems
