Job Description
Basic Function
Lead the sales team for masterbatches, colors and black to manage customers in consumer and industrial segments in Indian subcontinent and grow sales of LYB APS products. The role has the purpose to represent the company and business strategies, develop the sales growth at the customer, increase total value, manage the order-to-cash process and improve customer satisfaction with LYB APS products in line with the defined business strategy.
Roles Responsibilities
• Ensures consistent and optimal execution of strategy across the region/customer base and price policies for the LYB and Schulman products and relevant market segments.
• Builds a team around the account managers to ensure continuing improved sales as well as effective customer relationships and organizes the support by Customer Service.
• Develops and nurtures relationships with customers establishing solid relationships with them on commercial and technical level aiming for a preferred supplier position.
• Manages headquarters of assigned regional/global key accounts and coordinate activities with colleagues serving same key account in other regions and vice versa supports other managers with key account responsibility.
• Introduces new products in conjunction with Marketing, CPMs and Technical Service. Identifies and acquires additional customers with significant volume potential for LYB.
• Works closely with Business Finance and Support as to determine customer financial health and credit limit.
• Supports Customer Support Representatives in order to improve forecast accuracy of customer demand including seasonal buying patterns, reduces small orders and increases average size of order.
• Helps in closing claims, ensuring LYB’s complaint handling procedure is applied and followed; and recommends contract amendment. Co-ordinates the claim settlement with the regional Customer Service Representative and Technical Service.
• Market intelligence collection and reporting.
• Comply with LYB policies.
Min. Qualifications & Experience
• University degree in Chemical / Polymers / Plastics / Injection / Chemical Engineering / Commercial.
• More than 10 years masterbatch sales experience in diverse range of processing, plastics, packaging industry.
• More than 3 years sales or business development management experience in masterbatch segment.
