REMIT:
Exciting opportunity to join the Premiership winning club of 2023/24 in a critical role responsible for the leading customer retention and acquisition across the hospitality portfolio. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the organisation to support a range of areas including the events division and player sponsorship programme.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Retain and grow client sales within designated hospitality areas
• Be the designated contact for hospitality areas on a match day
• Create a business development plan focusing on networking and delivery of the sales strategy for retaining business around current match day opportunities and drive incremental sales to those client groups
• Senior member of hospitality sales team
• Work with the Head of Sales & Events to set the proposition and oversee match day operation along with the team
• Actively target businesses and individuals to sell across the range of the Saints real estate
• Have a proactive view to outbound calls and seek new opportunities
• Ensure all new leads generated by the team are logged accordingly on the designated database management software and kept up to date with new contacts to maximise sales opportunities whilst contributing towards a strong/active database
• Instigate and conduct face-to-face client meetings generated from in-bound and out bound sales calls
• Ensure all sales generated are negotiated and secured before other business units take lead on client delivery and fulfilment
• Manage delivery of sales records in line with systems set by the Head of Sales & Events
CRITICAL SKILLS REQIURED BY SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
· Proven track record in sales, achievement of sales targets and experience working within a strategic department being able to initiate and drive sales independently
· Possess a strong network of contacts with experience of strategic prospecting and interacting at Executive level with a clear passion for selling across the club’s portfolio of rights
· Strong management and mentor skills to influence and guide others within the team
· Self-driven, results-oriented with a clear focus on high quality and business profit
· Excellent interpersonal skills and first-class customer engagement skills
· Positive and resilient, able to balance multiple priorities and remain focused and clear
• Hold a UK driving licence with access to vehicle for off site visits and client away days.
· Nature of role requires flexibility to hours during times of peak activity to include evenings and weekends
DESIREABLE SKILLS:
• Understanding of rugby and its environment
