SUMMARY:
SkyWaltz Balloon Safari is India’s first fully licensed and government approved commercial hot air ballooning company, one of its kind in the Indian sub-continent. In January 2008, SkyWaltz received official authorization from the DGCA – Directorate General of Civil Aviation to conduct hot air balloon activities across India.
SkyWaltz has grown over the years, and is now looking at expanding its operations, ramping up the team size thus taking the organization to the next level.
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing organization, based in Jaipur with pan India operations. We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our Skywaltz team to handle the growth planned ahead. An experienced person to lead our growing team of sales consultants and deliver an exceptionally high level of customer service to our customers, as we guide them through the booking process and help them prepare for their trip. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for adventure travel, knowledge of the tourism industry, customer centric, and be able to build a network of channel partners and work with them thus achieve the targets for the season.
Requirements:
· Passion: a genuine passion for adventure travel and the outdoors is essential. Your travel experience and eagerness to explore will be invaluable when speaking with the channel partners & our customers.
· Communication: you need to be an excellent communicator and able to deliver very high levels of enthusiastic, sincere customer service, both on the phone and via email. You also need to be confident in product training and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders.
· Team spirit: we’re looking for a real team player who is comfortable working in and supporting a growing team.
· Team management: we would like you to have experience of leading a successful, target-driven team and helping others to maximize sales opportunities.
· IT savvy: ideally, you’ll have experience using a variety of IT tools, including customer relationship management software.
· Organization skills: you need to have superb organizational skills for you and your direct reports, as well as having a real eye for detail.
· Self-motivated: you need to be a self-starter with a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment
· Experience: we're looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales role within the tourism industry, as well as experience of leading a team.
Responsibilities:
Initially your responsibilities will focus on:
1. Handle hard core sales of our balloon safaris.
2. Managing and helping to recruit a growing sales consultant team.
3. Looking for opportunities to maximize sales opportunities, promote our balloon safaris and improve our processes.
4. Speaking with customers via phone and email to guide them through the booking process and secure the sale.
5. Completing administration relating to each booking and liaising with our operations teams.
6. Providing continued customer support.
7. Chasing potential leads and selling SkyWaltz Balloon Safari enthusiastically.
8. Managing bookings through our in-house customer support executives, CRM and processes.
+. Develop and build business relationships between the organization and different stakeholders such as the Concierge Desks at various Hotels, Resorts, other such properties, Travel Desks at Corporate Houses, Travel & Tourism Companies, etc. thus promoting SkyWaltz.
10. Report to management team.
Required skills and qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) – a background in the hospitality / tourism industry a definite plus
· Five or more years of experience in a similar role
· Experience in generating leads and their conversion, thus generating revenue
· Good knowledge of marketing tools
· Team player
· Excellent inter-personal & communication skills
· Excellent leadership skills
· Good knowledge of MS Office, CRM & BRM tools
· Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity
