Job Description
The Sales Training Manager is responsible for end-to-end training, onboarding, and capability development of new sales joinees. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that every new sales hire is thoroughly trained on products, sales processes, LSQ, and selling skills, enabling them to perform confidently and independently.
This role combines sales knowledge, structured training delivery, coaching, and performance monitoring to drive faster ramp-up, higher productivity, and consistent sales quality.
Key Responsibilities
New Joinee Sales Training & Onboarding (Primary Focus)
• Own and deliver complete onboarding training for all new sales joinees.
• Ensure end-to-end product training, including features, benefits, use cases, pricing, and positioning.
• Conduct LSQ training, ensuring sales joinees are fully competent in lead management, workflows, follow-ups, and system usage.
• Ensure all new hires are properly trained and ready to go live before handling customers independently.
• Create and manage structured onboarding plans, training calendars, and learning journeys.
• Act as the single point of accountability for new joinee training effectiveness.
Sales Training & Enablement
• Design, develop, and deliver sales training programs aligned with business and revenue goals.
• Conduct regular classroom, virtual, and blended training sessions.
• Identify skill and knowledge gaps and design targeted training interventions.
• Continuously update training content based on product changes, process updates, and market needs.
• Work closely with sales leaders to align training with ground-level sales realities.
Coaching, Reinforcement & Quality Assurance
• Conduct call audits and quality reviews for new and existing sales advisors.
• Provide structured feedback and coaching to improve pitch quality, objection handling, and conversions.
• Run refresher and reinforcement sessions to ensure knowledge retention.
• Track post-training performance to ensure training translates into results.
• Drive continuous improvement in sales readiness, confidence, and performance.
Sales Operations & Training Analytics
• Track and report training completion and performance metrics.
• Maintain training MIS, dashboards, and reports.
• Use data to identify learning gaps and improve training effectiveness.
Learning Systems & Governance
• Manage and utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) for training delivery and tracking.
• Ensure all training documentation, records are maintained.
• Maintain consistency, quality standards, and compliance in training delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
• 2+ years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or L&D (sales-focused).
• Strong understanding of sales processes, selling techniques, and customer engagement.
• Graduate degree required.
• Hands-on experience with LSQ or similar CRM/lead management tools.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience working with fast-paced sales teams and multiple stakeholders.
