In this role, part of your week you’ll be at the nail station creating beautiful sets; the other half you’ll be at the front desk, owning the client experience from hello to goodbye.
The role

Presentation & standards: Keep the desk, waiting area, and stations spotless; uphold hygiene and OH&S procedures.
Nail services: Perform manicures/pedicures, structured gel/BIAB, e-file prep, soft gel extensions or overlays, and clean, design-led nail art suited to your level.
Consult & educate: Assess nail health, tailor looks to lifestyle and budget, and explain aftercare for long wear.
Upsell & home care: Recommend add-ons and retail products that genuinely improve results.
Content support: Photograph finished sets on designated days and share trend ideas with the team.
What you’ll bring
Experience: 1–2+ years in salon reception or hospitality front-of-house AND 1–2+ years as a professional nail artist/technician - both years can overlap. Portfolio required (Instagram/website or PDF).
Technical skills (mid-level): Confident e‑file prep; soft gel, BIAB, full extensions/overlays; shaping and finish filing; French, chrome/aura, neat linework, and simple-to-moderate designs. Open to coaching on advanced art.
Personality: A bubbly, positive presence; warm, clear communicator who makes clients feel at ease and genuinely cared for.
Pace & organisation: Strong time management at the desk and chair; accurate with bookings and payments; calm under pressure.
Team fit: Reliable, tidy, coachable; happy to help wherever the roster needs you.
Work rights & availability: Australian citizen/PR or valid visa with at least 12 months remaining; minimum 4 shifts/week including 1 weekend day. In-person, Sydney CBD.
Hours, pay, and growth
Hours: Full-time 38–45 hrs/week or Part-time 20–30 hrs/week.
