Job Description
Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing current and future needs.
Use and leverage new features of all underlying technologies to ensure the proper functioning of installed databases and applications/platforms, as appropriate.
Strategize and implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans.
Manage daily operations by troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and developing fixes to prevent similar issues from recurring.
Plan and manage upgrades, migrations, maintenance, backups, installations, and configuration functions.
Review technical performance and implement measures to improve efficiency, optimize performance, and mitigate performance challenges.
Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), data accountability matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidelines, etc.
Provide weekly status reports to the client's management team and internal stakeholders on database activities regarding progress, updates, status, and next steps.
Leverage technology to develop a Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Forecast talent requirements based on current and future business needs.
