Role: SAP PP (SCM) Functional Consultant Job type: Full-time Location: Bengaluru Industry: Manufacturing Working days: 6 days
Job summary: Our client is in the process of transforming its supply chain planning and production processes through the rollout of a centralized planning platform. As part of this initiative, we are hiring an SAP PP/SCM Functional Consultant to lead the functional integration between SAP and this platform and eventually take long-term ownership of the SAP PP module. This is a business-facing functional role, focused on ensuring that SAP reflects and supports real-world planning and production requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders during the project phase to ensure effective system alignment and subsequently take end-to-end functional ownership of SAP PP, supporting operations, driving continuous improvements, and addressing user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Project phase: Platform integration and cross-functional coordination: Work closely with business stakeholders (planning, procurement, production) to gather requirements and ensure functional alignment with SAP Lead functional discussions and provide clarity to technical teams supporting the integration between SAP and the planning platform Validate process flows, ensure master data readiness, and support UAT and business testing activities Coordinate between business and IT teams to ensure SAP captures correct planning outputs and supports execution
Post-project: SAP PP module ownership: Take full functional ownership of the SAP PP module for the Home Appliances Division Support production planning, MRP, shop floor execution, and related processes Handle incident resolution, user queries, change requests, and process enhancements Collaborate with end users to optimize SAP usage and ensure alignment with business needs ▪ Maintain and update key master data elements (BOMs, routings, work centers) Handle minor configurations in SAP PP where appropriate, while major changes will be supported by IFB’s central technical team
Requirements: Proven experience as an SAP PP/SCM Functional Consultant Strong understanding of SAP PP, including MRP, production orders, shop floor execution, and planning strategies Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and participating in system integration projects Functional knowledge of manufacturing environments and planning workflows Comfortable leading discussions with business users and translating needs into SAP solutions Experience with UAT, documentation, and end-user support Ability to perform minor functional configurations within SAP PP is preferred Nice to have (Not mandatory) Exposure to SAP WM, APO, or Fiori apps in a manufacturing context Understanding of shop floor automation, scheduling and levelling, or process control systems Familiarity with data migration, cutover, or training support during SAP projects Prior involvement in business transformation or change management initiatives Experience working in consumer goods, manufacturing, or high-volume production environments
