Job Description:
As an SAP TM Techno-Functional Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in defining, designing, and implementing SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions for our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into effective SAP TM solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and functional understanding to bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Solution Design: Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to design SAP TM solutions that align with business goals, ensuring optimal use of SAP TM functionalities.
• Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements, ensuring clear communication between business users and technical teams.
• System Configuration: Configure and customize SAP TM systems to meet client-specific requirements, including defining transportation processes, carrier integration, and master data setup.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership by designing and overseeing data integrations, enhancements, and custom developments within the SAP TM landscape.
• Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing, quality assurance, and documentation of SAP TM solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities for performance improvement and optimization of SAP TM systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Client Collaboration: Maintain a strong client relationship, offering insights and guidance on SAP TM best practices and industry standards.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and project teams, ensuring a smooth transition to new SAP TM solutions.
• 15+ years of experience in SAP,
• Minimum 12 Years of experience in SAP TM configuration, testing, and implementation, and configuration experience
• Responsible for defining SAP transportation management strategy, develop systems requirements, design, implement, test, train, define and strategize support process in a multi-project environment with multiple deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge in implementing Transport Planning, Integration with S/4 HANA and 3rd party systems, Charge calculation and settlement, Order management, master data, Analytics and reporting, Mode, and scenarios.
• Lead an active role in the design, testing and implementation/rollout phases of a project. Must be able to work in a team environment, with significant day to day contact with business Transportation Team
• Stakeholder management with ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership internally and externally.
• Act as project or solution lead on implementation projects and manage the oversight of project resources.
• Define business problems and translate into their system solutions including analysis of alternatives.
• Participate in the development process to analyze internal client requirements, determine fit and customizations, develop proposals, develop cost estimates, and present solutions to internal clients.
• Analyze data and develop logical business application solutions to problems by working with the IT team and the user teams.
• Write specifications for new development and system enhancements.
• Perform integrated quality assurance testing and configuration of systems.
• Identify offerings for new Transportation Management services and ideas and assist with the development of these capabilities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management).
• Proven experience as an SAP TM consultant or architect with a strong techno-functional background.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Transportation Management (TM) module, including configuration and integration with other SAP modules.
• Proficiency in SAP TM technical components, including SAP NetWeaver, WebDynpro, and SAP Integration technologies.
• Strong understanding of transportation and logistics business processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• SAP certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to client locations as needed
