The role of SARC Manager is critical in providing victims of ****** assault with the dedicated support and care required. Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower them to feel in control and where applicable, support them during the forensic examination process.

Each county has its own dedicated ****** Assault Referral Centre (SARC), the service has been commissioned to improve the immediate medical response and aftercare offered to victims of ****** assault and rape.

Mountain Healthcare are a specialist business already providing similar services to 20 other SARCs in locations across the UK.

For this role you will work as the SARC Manager and will be responsible for co-ordinating all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC.

The SARC Manager will effectively lead and manage this multi-agency Centre and services, playing a pivotal role in developing a strategic vision for the service ensuring changes meet internal and external expectations and meets budgetary constraints who will help cover the service (predominantly) out of office hours, including nights and weekends.

Job Opportunity

SARC Coordinator (Manager)

This role is full-time, 42 hours per week, 4 Management days - Monday - Friday and 1 Clinical Day - Monday - Friday, including 12 hour Clinical shift.

The Role Will Include
• The SARC Manager will be accountable for coordinating and delivering safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC meeting national and local targets in relation to rape and ****** assault
• The post-holder will be required to evaluate and assess current service delivery and implement changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements in access and service delivery, whilst working within a budget
• Additionally, the post-holder will be responsible for the management of all employees associated with the SARC

There is a requirement to be flexible to cover on call shifts as and when required 7am - 7pm and to travel to SARC's if needed.

Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks.

Essential Skills
• Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post qualification
• Basic Life Support (Training Provided).
• Working with vulnerable people.
• Excellent communication skills and styles.
• Proven strong judgement and analysis.
• Venepuncture trained.
• Managerial experience
• Trained to complete forensic examinations.
• Having awareness of SARC commissioning.
