An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust, and well tested deployments.

Your key responsibilities
As a Technical Specialist in the Data and Financial Services team, the candidate should have below core responsibilities:
• Ability to design and write code in accordance with provided business requirements.
• Ability to contribute to QA strategy and Architecture decisions.
• Knowledge of IT delivery and architecture including knowledge of Data Modelling.
• Relevant Financial Services experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery.
• Ability to balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility.
• Ensuring compliance, audit and security requirements are met.
Your skills and experience
• Bachelors / master’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent)
• Overall experience of at least 5-10 years in the Banking/Finance industry with knowledge and experience of working within an operations environment.
• Engineer with Strong knowledge on SAS@Mainframe.
• Good Knowledge about the core SDLC processes and tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Service Now.
• Hands own experience on Mainframe environment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Fluent in English (written/verbal).
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations.
• A high degree of accuracy, efficiency, attention to detail and delegation skills are required.
• An ability to adhere to multiple deadlines and good time management and ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
• Critical thinking and analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving. Meticulous and detail oriented.
• Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
