• The role holder will be a member of the BX India Technology Audit Team within Barclays Internal Audit (BIA). This team is responsible for conducting Payments Technology audits for across various group entities such as Barclays UK and Barclays Bank PLC.
• The role holder will be reporting to the Audit Team Lead (VP), and will be responsible for understanding the Payment technology requirements and performing control tests assigned to them. He/She will also have the opportunity to participate and support the line manager in business monitoring, emerging risk identification and all aspects of audit delivery, including issue monitoring and validation
What will you be doing?
• Support the BIA Technology audit team to ensure key operational processes including audit planning, audit executing, audit testing and audit universe data maintenance are delivered efficiently and effectively.
• Assist in the development and implementation of management information based on outputs from audit systems.
• Work with the BIA Operations COO audit team seamlessly on Attestation audits that require both Technology and Operations review.
• Support the execution of audit work and at times execute audit work.
• Contribute to maintenance and risk assessment of the audit universe and audit coverage strategy.
• Support and perform continuous monitoring of relevant areas in technology.
• Support the follow-up and assessment of the resolution of audit issues.
• Contribute to evaluating the management control approach and control environment of relevant business areas.
What we're looking for:
• Good understanding of technology risks and controls
• Reasonable understanding of Payment Schemes applicable to Barclays. The candidate must demonstrate reasonable understanding of Technology processes supporting payments in Financial Services OrganizationsKnowledge in SQL and Python preferred.
• Strong knowledge in software development technologies, methodologies and processes (e.g. Agile, Waterfall), preferably gained from a retail and wealth management business.
• Relevant professional qualifications in technology and cybersecurity preferred (e.g. CISSP, CISA)
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Financial services industry knowledge
• Knowledge about new and emerging financial products and services.
• Experience of leading others during audit assignments
