Openings for DB2 Database Administrator - Mumbai Location
Job Description:
• Should have experience of DB2 Installation, Configuration.
• Should have experience with various types of DB2 Backups & Restoration. Restoration using redirect.
• Candidate should have good understanding of Database archival, Database upgrade techniques.
• Ability to craft and alter of DB2 object according to requirement (Ex: Database, Table space, Table, Index, etc.).
• Demonstrable experience with DB2 common command (familiar with other command), Stop/Start Databases, Display command, cancel thread and term utility.
• Good Knowledge/Experience of Reorg/Runstats, Export /Import/Load, query optimization.
• Ability to provide Grants to users for appropriate groups/authorities, familiar with DB2 privileges.
• Have good understanding of Database partition feature, HADR.
• Troubleshooting General DB issues and performance issues. Working knowledge of SQL, knows to use query to check catalog table and find necessary for system usage.
• Experience in using utilities such as db2top, db2pd, db2move, db2look, db2expln and db2advis.
• Experience in supporting, maintenance and monitoring of DB2 UDB Databases.
• Experience of DMS/SMS Tablespace Management, Active/Archival log management.
• Experience in analyzing db2diag logs, Monitoring of Lock-Waits & Long Running Queries.
• Experience in Shell Scripting.
