Introduction:
Java developer - Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Agile, Design skills
Aware of best practices and optimal coding standards.
What will you be doing?
• Work with the API tech lead / API Designer and the Solution Architect on detailed requirements.
• Contributes in detailed design of API as per API design guidelines and high level solution.
• Develops API using technology suite according to detailed design, high level design. This includes Functional and Technical documentation including knowledge articles, user guides, process diagrams, use cases, and test plans as relevant.
• Daily stand ups and other relevant agile ceremonies.
• Ensure APIs are developed to Barclays standard for Security (Authentication/Threat protection), Performance (Cashing/Load Distribution/Response Paging), Orchestration (Correlation of API calls/Process design), Alerting (Policy Breach/Certificate Renewal Notification), Usage (Service Auditing/Usage metrics) and meeting SLAs.
What we're looking for:
• Development experience of API in REST architecture using Java technologies
• Working knowledge of Enterprise tools like Kibana, Jira, Confluence, AppDynamics
• Exposure to DevOps - Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, GitHub, Bitbucket.
• UNIX and Linux Operating environments
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Strong working experience in Java/JEE, Spring boot, Agile & DevOps enabled projects and design skills.
• Strong technical background with detail driven and excellent problem solving abilities Presentation skills
• Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains
• Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams
