About the role
The School-based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Coordination Officer works as a member of a team supporting and delivering the Department's School-based Apprenticeship and Traineeship (SBAT) program.

Key accountabilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support program outcomes.
Secure and manage training placements for school-based apprentices and trainees to benefit high-impact employers and DoE programs.
Ensure training arrangements comply with the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2002 and NESA requirements.
Deliver all administrative tasks, reports, and data accurately and on time.
Respond to program enquiries clearly and promptly, and resolve issues as they arise.

About you
Collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to support school-based apprentices and trainees.
Solve complex problems using knowledge of school-based apprenticeship and traineeship operations.
Build and maintain relationships with employers, government agencies, and registered training organisations.
Facilitate the successful delivery and completion of apprenticeship and traineeship programs.
Enjoy working in a high activity and dynamic working environment.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role
Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
