The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi

The Scholarships Office award scholarships and prizes worth over $+2 million to thousands of students and each year brings in new scholarships and ways to better support our bright and talented students., this could be a newly created scholarship to support our new students coming from outside of Auckland who could apply for their accommodation to be covered at our Halls of residence over the summer or a scholarship for our Māori and Pacific students enrolled in the final year of secondary school.

The Scholarships Office team are currently based on 4+ Symonds Street, City Campus and are seeking to appoint a Scholarships Adviser for a full time appointment.

The role is Full Time (37.5 hours per week) and is permanent. The salary range of this role is $62,400 - $77,800 per annum based on experience and qualifications.

About you | He kōrero mōu

Ideally you will be a strong communicator with an ability to analyse information, have the ability to research and find alternatives, strong interpersonal skills, ability to actively listen and work with widely diverse individuals and groups. You will be able to successfully work as part of a professional team with enthusiasm and commitment, be able to take initiative and work independently and under pressure with juggling priorities.


Important Skills/Experience | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

Experience with Student Management System and a high level of proficiency with MS Office programmes, especially Excel, Oracle Service Cloud and online application systems
Experience with problem-solving and decision-making
Ability to multi-task while staying on a course of planned action
Skilled in both analytical thinking and building personal relationships
Strong capacity to listen, keen sense of judgment and propriety, and ability to follow-up on details with great speed
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy for data recording and providing information
Experience and Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is a must have.
